Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Integrity Plumbing Services collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
This is an editable starting draft, not legal advice. It covers the common cases for a small Irish marketing website. Before you rely on it, have it reviewed by someone qualified and fill in the details noted in the README.
Last updated: this draft was prepared for launch and should be dated when published.
Who we are
Integrity Plumbing Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a marketing and branding business working with plumbing professionals in Ireland. Our office is at 1A Gleann Rua, Renmore, Galway, H91 KCA3, Ireland. You can reach us by phone on 082 238 3354.
For the purposes of data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller for the personal information described here.
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our business properly:
- Enquiry details. When you use our contact form or email or ring us, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, service area, the services you’re interested in, any budget range you share, and the content of your message.
- Communication records. If we go on to work together or exchange emails and calls, we keep a reasonable record of that correspondence.
- Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our host and any analytics tool may record limited technical information such as your approximate location, browser type and the pages you view. This is covered under “Cookies and analytics” below.
We do not ask for special category data (such as health information) and we’d ask you not to send it through the contact form.
Why we use your information, and our legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or consultation you asked for. Legal basis: your consent, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To carry out work you’ve engaged us for and manage that relationship. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- To improve our website and services. Legal basis: legitimate interest, or consent where cookies require it.
Cookies and analytics
This website is built to be light and does not set advertising or tracking cookies by default. If the owner later adds an analytics tool (for example, a privacy-friendly analytics service or Google Analytics), this section should be updated to name that tool, explain what it records, and describe how to opt out. Where the law requires it, a cookie banner should be added to gather consent before non-essential cookies are set.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so will not stop you using the main parts of this site.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell your information. We only share it where we need to in order to operate:
- Service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, form-delivery service and, if used, an analytics provider. These providers act on our instructions.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Where we’ve worked together, we keep records for as long as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymise them. If you’d like your details removed sooner, just ask.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Ask us to delete your information where there’s no good reason for us to keep it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
- Ask for your data in a portable format where that applies.
To exercise any of these, ring us on 082 238 3354 or use the details on our contact page. We’ll respond within the time the law allows, normally one month.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland (dataprotection.ie).
Marketing communications
We won’t add you to a marketing list just because you contacted us. If we ever send occasional updates, it will be because you asked to receive them, and every message will include a clear way to unsubscribe.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No website or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we’d ask you not to send sensitive details through the form.
External links
Our site may link to other websites. We’re not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we’d encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Please check back occasionally.
